The details
Clongs are click-lock tongs: press the button once to spring them open, hold them closed and press again to lock them shut for the drawer. The whole operation happens with one hand, which matters when the other hand is holding a hot skillet.
The arms are stainless steel with a C-channel profile for strength, tipped with silicone heads that grip without scratching non-stick cookware. The silicone tips have a waffle texture for serving and flat edges for picking up small, precise things, from a single green bean to a strand of spaghetti. The signature bend in the handles sits the tips up off the counter when you put them down, so no puddle of sauce on the bench and no washing the counter mid-cook.
The silicone is heat resistant to 500°F, materials are BPA-free and FDA and LFGB-approved, and the whole tool is dishwasher safe. Ours are stocked in classic Black.
