Sharple Y is the Y-style version of Dreamfarm's self-sharpening Sharple peeler. The magic is in the safety cover: a built-in ceramic ball sharpener hones the blade every time you slide the cover open or closed. Put it away after dinner, pull it out tomorrow, and the edge has already been touched up. No sharpening steel, no dull peeler slowly getting worse in the drawer.

The blade is razor-sharp Japanese stainless steel that swivels to follow the curve of whatever you're peeling, taking off a thin layer and leaving more of the vegetable behind. It won't rust in the dishwasher. At the tip of the handle, a built-in eye remover digs out potato eyes and blemishes without reaching for a paring knife.

The handle is shaped for good control in either hand, so it works just as well for lefties, and it has open drainage channels so it rinses clean and dries quickly instead of trapping water.
