Baby White
A top seller here at Amish Country Popcorn, Baby White Popcorn is hulless, crispy, small, and very white. Baby White is similar to Medium White Popcorn with smaller kernels.

The “hull” is the outer layer of the kernel. Due to the lack of a hull, the Baby White Hulless Popcorn is easier to chew and digest than other varieties of popcorn. It is also known for having a tender and delicate texture when popped.

Compared to Other Popcorn
Baby White Hulless Popcorn is smaller than most of our other types of popcorn, and has a much thinner and more tender hull as well.

Popping Tips
The flavor of Baby White Hulless Popcorn is neutral and a blank canvas, making it delicious with salt and butter and allowing it to pair well with the seasonings we offer. This popcorn’s flavor is also heavily determined by the preparation and popping method used.

Mushroom Popcorn is unique because it pops into a circular or mushroom shape as opposed to the more common butterfly shape and is larger and crunchier than our other varieties. Mushroom popcorn is perfect for fun recipes like caramel corn and pairs well with our spices and glazes.

It pops in a mushroom shape because of its unique design. As the moisture inside the kernel turns into steam during the popping process, the hull of the mushroom popcorn stays intact, causing the kernel to expand out of one side into a round mushroom shape.

Compared to Other Popcorn
This popcorn is not hulless like our Baby White variety. It does not have as much flavor as its counterparts, but it is perfect for coatings, glazes, or seasonings.

Popping Tips
To achieve its recognizable shape, Mushroom Popcorn should be popped at a higher temperature, but can be popped using traditional popping methods. This creates more mushroom-shaped kernels and leaves less un-popped corn.

We love a good story

In 1965, a man named Roy Lehman planted a small plot of popcorn in the Amish community of Berne, Indiana for his six-year-old son, Brian. Since then, Brian has followed in his father's footsteps and continued growing and selling popcorn to family and friends. Over the years, this small family farm has expanded to become Amish Country Popcorn, fulfilling Brian's childhood dream and now producing 10 million pounds of popcorn annually for customers worldwide. This legacy has been passed down to the next generation, who share the same passion for growing the best possible popcorn. Our commitment to quality means using natural methods, like weed-pulling by Brian and his grandkids, and implementing regular crop rotation to ensure our popcorn is GMO and preservative-free.
