Fluicer Steel

Fluicer Steel

One lemon, one squeeze, and the juice goes where you point it. The Fluicer Steel does the work of a traditional press with less grip, less splatter, and a finish that looks as good on the counter as it does in the drawer.

The details

The Fluicer Steel is the all-stainless version of Dreamfarm's best-selling Fluicer, sized for lemons and limes. Instead of crushing fruit flat between two handles, its hinged design presses a citrus half from the sides, much like squeezing by hand, only with far more leverage. You hold it with both hands and pivot sideways, which puts the effort on your arm muscles instead of your fingers and wrists.

A built-in seed catcher strains out pips as you go and doubles as a funnel, so the juice runs neatly into a glass, measuring cup, or small bowl rather than across the counter. Stainless steel stands up to citric acid without staining or warping, and it goes straight into the dishwasher when you're done.

When you're finished, it folds completely flat, about an inch thick, so it slides into a utensil drawer with the spatulas instead of hogging space like a rounded press. It's an original Australian design and was named one of Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2023.

Why we love it at Berry + Basil

• Sideways squeeze is noticeably easier on hands and wrists than a traditional press
• Seed catcher and funnel in one, so no fishing pips out of your vinaigrette
• Folds flat for drawer storage, no awkward bump
• All-stainless build feels sturdy and won't discolor from citrus acid
• Dishwasher safe for quick cleanup
• A smart upgrade for anyone who already loves the original Fluicer
• Named a Time Magazine Best Invention of 2023
