The details
SMEG's classic 1950s kettle has a rounded stainless steel body in a glossy enamel finish, with chrome accents on the handle and base. It holds 1.7 liters, enough for seven cups, so it's just as happy making a single mug as it is filling a French press for company.
The lid opens gently, so you don't get a face full of steam when you check the water. Inside, a removable stainless steel filter catches mineral buildup and rinses clean under the tap. Water level windows are marked in both cups and liters.
It sits on a 360° swivel base, so lefties and righties can grab it from any angle, and it shuts off automatically once the water hits a full boil or when you lift it from the base. An anti-slip base and built-in cord wrap round it out.
