Pour a cup and the teapot sings back. This bird-shaped ceramic teapot lets out a sweet little chirp with every pour, which turns an ordinary cup of tea into a small, happy ritual.
The details
The ChirpyPot is a full-size teapot with a built-in personality. It holds 36 oz, enough for several cups, and comes with an extra fine stainless steel infuser that drops right in, so loose leaf tea steeps without stray leaves ending up in your cup. As you pour, the bird's design makes a cheerful chirping sound.
The teapot and lid are made of high-fired stoneware with a food safe glaze. A silicone gasket on the lid keeps it from getting too hot to handle, and the silicone parts pop off for easy cleaning. The teapot and silicone parts are microwave and dishwasher safe, which makes reheating a forgotten second cup easy. The stainless infuser is dishwasher safe too, but keep it out of the microwave.
One important note: this is a teapot, not a kettle. Heat your water separately, and never set the ChirpyPot on a stovetop or heating element.
The ChirpyPot story
The ChirpyPot comes from Matt Ellison, the same founder behind the GurglePot, and it was inspired by wine, not tea. After years of happy hours, Matt decided he wanted a few healthier evenings in his week and started winding down with a hot cup of tea instead. Being the kind of person who can't leave an ordinary thing alone, he designed a bird-shaped teapot that sings as it pours. These days, some of his evenings end with lavender Earl Grey instead of chardonnay.
