The details

The blades are SUS420 stainless steel with micro-serrations along one edge that grip slippery materials — raw poultry skin, plastic packaging, tough herb stems — instead of pushing them away. A tension-tightening rivet lets you adjust the blade pivot as the shears wear in, so they stay crisp for years rather than going sloppy.

The handles are TPE — a soft-touch thermoplastic that's comfortable for longer tasks and easy to wipe clean. They pull completely apart at the pivot for thorough cleaning, and the whole assembly is dishwasher safe when you'd rather not bother. At 8.5" overall, these have enough length to handle a whole spatchcocked chicken without feeling cramped.

Four extra tools are built into the handles: a nutcracker, jar lid opener/gripper, bottle opener, and a flat-head screwdriver tip. Useful for the kitchen tasks that always seem to happen when you don't want to walk across the room.
