The Made In Blue Carbon Steel Frying Pan is a chef's kitchen staple brought home, delivering a naturally non-stick surface, exceptional heat control, and the kind of sear that makes every meal feel intentional. Available in 8", 10", and 12".

The details

Carbon steel sits in the sweet spot between stainless and cast iron. It heats quickly, retains heat well, and is light enough to handle with confidence. Made In's Blue Carbon Steel Frying Pans are handcrafted in Sweden from 2mm blue carbon steel and arrive pre-seasoned with a blend of shea nut oil and coconut oil, so the first two seasonings (the hardest ones) are already done for you.

The proprietary Stay Cool Handle is hollow by design, dissipating heat so it stays comfortable to hold on the stovetop, keeping the heat focused exactly where it belongs: on your food. The bowl-shaped edges create a wide, versatile cooking surface ideal for searing proteins, sauteing vegetables, and everything in between.

Safe to use up to 1200F, this pan works beautifully on gas, electric, and induction stovetops as well as in the oven and over an open flame. It is free of PFAS, PFOA, PTFE, lead, cadmium, aluminum, and BPA.

The more you cook in it, the better it gets. As seasoning builds with use, the surface becomes increasingly non-stick and develops a rich, dark patina that is uniquely yours.

How to care for it

  • Hand wash only with warm water and a soft brush or cloth
  • Dry immediately and apply a light coat of oil after each wash
  • Avoid soaking or the dishwasher
