The details

This little tray is made for anyone who loves bacon but not the cleanup. Angled ridges lift the strips up off the bottom, so the grease drains away into the channels below instead of soaking back into the bacon. What comes out is flat, crisp, and evenly cooked, with no flipping and no popping grease.

The vented lid sits over the tray to catch splatters and hold in heat, which keeps the inside of the microwave clean. At about 8.8 by 7.6 inches, the tray fits even small microwaves and holds a few strips at a time. If you buy extra-long bacon, you may need to cut the strips in half to fit.

To use it, lay the bacon on the ridges without overlapping, set the lid on top, and microwave on high for about 1 minute per slice. Add 30 seconds at a time until it's as crisp as you like it. Thick-cut bacon will take a little longer. The tray and lid get very hot, so always grab an oven mitt to take it out and lift the lid away from you to let the steam escape.

The base is also oven safe to 400°F, though the lid is for the microwave only. Both are made in the USA from BPA-free, melamine-free plastic. Hand wash with warm, soapy water.
