Microwave bacon gets a bad reputation — but that's usually because it's cooked flat on a paper towel. The Compact Bacon Tray changes the equation: the ridged surface lifts strips off the tray so grease drips away instead of pooling, and the clear lid contains every splatter so your microwave stays clean. The result is actually crispy bacon, without the pan, the grease guard, or the cleanup.

The details

The tray is made from BPA- and Melamine-free high-heat plastic — the kind that handles microwave cooking without leaching anything into your food. The ridges elevate the bacon so it cooks in the microwave heat rather than sitting in its own grease, which is what gets you from limp to crispy. Place strips without overlapping, snap the lid on, and cook on high for about one minute per slice. Check and add 30-second intervals until done.

The lid snaps on to contain spatters during cooking — lift it off, set it aside, and serve straight from the tray. Both pieces hand wash easily; not recommended for the dishwasher. The base is also oven safe to 400°F if you want to crisp things up that way. The lid is microwave only.
