Walrus Oil Wood Wax

A cutting board's color fades and its grain dries out long before it actually wears out. Walrus Oil's Wood Wax brings both back — a dense, beeswax-based polish that seals in moisture and restores the kind of shine that makes a board look cared for.

The details

Handcrafted from beeswax, fractionated coconut oil, and vitamin E, Wood Wax is built to finish rather than penetrate — think of it as the topcoat that locks in whatever conditioning oil you've already applied. A little goes a long way: the wax is dense enough that a pinch covers a full board with room to spare.

Use it on its own for a quick refresh, or layer it over Cutting Board Oil for the fullest protection — the oil conditions the wood from within, the wax seals the surface against water and daily wear. Either way, it leaves a semi-gloss finish with noticeably richer wood color, not just a slick surface.

Apply a thin layer with a rag or non-woven pad, let it sit for 15 minutes, then buff clean. For boards in heavy rotation, reapply every 1–2 months.
