The details
The set is a standard meat loaf pan with a removable perforated insert that sits inside it. As the loaf cooks, rendered fat drips through the insert and collects in the pan below, keeping the meat up out of the grease. When it is done, lift the insert and the whole loaf comes with it, ready to slice and serve.
It is built from heavy-gauge aluminized steel with a steel wire rolled into the rim, which keeps the pan rigid and warp-resistant through repeated high-heat use. The interior measures 10 by 5 by 3 inches, a generous loaf size that also suits pound cakes and yeast breads when you skip the insert.
The surface carries USA Pan's AMERICOAT nonstick coating, made without PTFE, PFOA, or BPA, so the loaf releases and the insert rinses clean. Hand washing is recommended.
