This round cake pan has an 8 by 8 inch baking surface with 2-inch sides, deep enough for tall, tender layers. Outer dimensions are 8.5 by 8.5 by 2 inches. The walls are reinforced with steel wire rolled into the rim, which keeps the pan round and rigid through years of use.
It is made from heavy-gauge aluminized steel with a fluted bottom. The ridges encourage even air circulation under the batter for level, evenly baked layers, and they add strength so the pan resists warping at high heat.
The AMERICOAT nonstick coating, made without PTFE, PFOA, or BPA, releases cakes cleanly so layers turn out intact and ready to stack. Oven safe to 450 degrees. Hand washing is recommended.
